Our Values
- Our hospice started out as a grass-roots, all-volunteer organization, with a mission to compassionately care for people at the end of life's journey.
- We remain, to this day, committed to the ideals of these early days, and to our mission of compassionate care.
Our Focus Is On You
- Given our status as a non-profit 501(c)(3) hospice, our focus and energies remain solely on you.
- Our #1 priority is giving care that meets the individual needs of the people we serve.
We're Experienced
- We have over 30 years of experience as a hospice organization, and we've served more than 2,500 patients and families.
- Our staff members are experts in the field of end-of-life care. They are fully certified, and their contributions to professional and community outreach have been recognized locally, regionally, and on a national level.
We Listen
- We regularly seek feedback from families in an effort to provide care that exceeds your expectations.
- Family members tell us time and time again that they could not have done it without us.
We Work As Partners
- We are a welcome community partner with all of the hospitals in our service area, and we work closely with the areas various physician groups and home health services.
- We maintain strong and collaborative relationships with other care facilities in our service area, including the Oregon Veterans Home, the range of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and other care providers.
We Show the Way
- We were pioneers of end-of-life care in our region ... we brought hospice to our communities when the idea of hospice was still quite new to this country.
- We continue to forge new ground with innovative programs such as our Hispanic outreach effort, our "palliative care" effort, and our children's grief program.
- Because of our expertise, we are regularly asked to provide “in-service” classes and education on end-of-lfie issues to physicians, nurses, social workers and others.
We Care ... No Matter What
- Our mission is a mission of care. We are driven by the ideals of care and compassion.
- In all the years of our existence, we have never denied care to a patient due to their inability to pay.
- We believe firmly in the idea that every person deserves to have a peaceful end, regardless of who they are, how they've lived their lives, or what their beliefs may be.
For these reasons and more,
we remain,
our community's
Hospice of Choice.
